All About… My Dallas Favorites

The Restaurants, Bars, Shops and More that Have Made a Lasting Impact on Me

I hop on a plane with a one-way ticket to DC in less than 12 hours and I am finally getting my life and packing complete. There has been so much going on from packing, my car accident, going way brunches, happy hours,  dinners and more, it’s been a struggle to not become overwhelmed. My natural reaction when I get overwhelmed is to shut down and literally do nothing that progresses my todo list forward.

As I sit on my laptop to temporarily ignore my responsibilities, I decided to write one last Dallas-themed blog post! At least the last one for a few months.

Dallas is my home, where I was born and raised. There is no doubt that it has left a lasting impression on me throughout the years. I decided it would be fun to create a list of my favorite Dallas spots (and a select few remaining on my bucket list) for different occasions!

Ranging from happy hours, speakeasies and date night spots, I include the top three (or more) in each category. A majority of the photos are mine and some I feature from Instagram. By clicking on the link, you will be directed to the company’s Instagram page or the original poster of the photo.

All About… Lone Star Box – Spring Box

ACS_0035

A Review

I had the opportunity to review the holiday edition of the Holiday Edition of the Lone Star Box in December.

This edition of the box is stuffed with essentials for the spring. Including a shot glass, necessities pouch for valuables during travel, handmade essential oil based soap, to name a few.

Just like the past My Lone Star Box, every single item included is from a Texas sourced company and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a Texas-based charity. This season, the Spring Box’s proceeds will be given to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Texas!

The Spring Lone Star Box is priced at $37.95 and can be purchased from mylonestarbox.com!

I had such such blast shooting with Lone Star Box in West Village. Below you will find pictures from the shoot, as well as descriptions of every item in the Spring Box.

All About… Where to Find Limited Edition Valentine’s Day Treats in Dallas

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I feel like I blinked and it went from New Years to Valentine’s Day! All I can think is time waits for no one AND this holiday means delicious and sweet treats.

One of my favorite aspects of Valentine’s Day is that businesses are getting more and more creative with the limited time food and drinks!

I have collected my favorite Dallas business that will be providing Valentine’s themed treats. Make sure you go out and get them before they’re gone for another 365 days!

About Last Night, Dallas’ Guide to… Where to Brunch on New Year’s Day in Dallas

Bottoms Up for 2018!

We’re all most likely going to feel the same way on January 1st… but not to worry, brunch heals all wounds and saves all lives.

To help make our lives a slightly easier, I decided to write a blog post that lists all of the official Dallas brunch events to you in one place. As my NYE in Dallas blog posts, the name of the restaurant will take you to the event page. I went a step further and included the brunch hours, details, contact info for reservations, as well as an address.

Be sure to take advantage of the New Year tradition and order black-eyed peas for luck and cabbage for wealth (if offered)!

Feel free to share this post and give the gift of brunch to all you know.

All About… West Village’s New Beauty Bar, BAM

Dallas’ New Beauty Bar is Nothing But Aesthetic Perfection

BAMFloral Wall.JPG

Let’s talk beauty. Who doesn’t appreciate a good blowout? I attended the BAM Beauty Bar grand opening on September 30. BAM is Dallas’ new beauty bar located in West Village. I was first greeted by a red carpet and BAM backdrop. The makeup and hair stylist were stationed at the front door and were nothing but welcoming and put together head-to-toe. The event offered an array of foods ranging from sushi, cheese plates, desserts and other options. There was also an open bar with champagne, wine and an array of complementary beverages (because what is a grand opening without one).

Entrance to BAM

There were many aspects of BAM Beauty Bar that contributed to the photo-worthy and luxurious experience of the grand opening. The first memorable feature that did not fail to draw every single person’s attention was their floral wall that stretched from floor to ceiling. It’s without a doubt a unique attribute that contributes to the company’s brand. BAM’s accent wall was created by Dallas designer, Tiana Mae.

Whenever I hear ‘blowout’ I immediately think of Drybar. One thing that I was curious about was the price differences between the two blowout salons. After a quick a Google search, I realized that both companies provide the standard blowout services for $45. BAM provides seven individual hairstyles. There are other services available that vary in price. Another element that separates BAM from the rest, is that the beauty bar is a select carrier of Balmain haircare products.

Blowout Menu + Products + Gift Bags.jpg

BAM Beauty Bar is also a one-stop-shop for makeup services as well! They also carry their own line of products. Ranging from BB creams, powder + liquid foundations (over 10 shades), shadows, contour kits, lashes, lipsticks, glosses, to name a few. BAM’s makeup contour literally has it all. I cannot wait to return and experience the beauty bar on my birthday in a few weeks!
