I visited Jalisco Norte for the first time at the start of the new year with my friend, Rachel Urquhart. The upscale restaurant is located in Oak Lawn and is the perfect place for any occasion. Jalisco’s Central American inspired decor and menu create an experience that is truly unique. One of my favorite editions is the window where you can watch an employee make fresh tortillas right in front of you.
The restaurant was crowded on a Wednesday evening, however, I didn’t have to wait for a table. The bar was packed with people leftover from happy hour, which gave Jalisco’s an energetic vibe. There were also many groups with large parties.
While at Jalisco Norte, I had the opportunity to try the Craft Paloma cocktail (one of 18 specialty crafted cocktails), queso, chips and salsa, as well as the chicken quesadilla. All three were extremely delicious. The quesadilla was hands down one of the BEST I’ve ever had. Jalisco’s cocktail menu is dominated by an array of tequilas from around the world. I am not a tequila girl, but hey! When in Rome, right?!

Overall, I had an amazing experience at Jalisco Norte. It’s a perfect spot for dinners, dates, celebrations, happy hours and more. I especially can’t wait to return and try their brunch!

Dinner • Mon – Thurs, Sun 5pm – 10pm [bar open until 10:30pm]
